Yes, love is beautiful — but it’s not free
Great relationships always cost something. Here's what.
💔 This Week’s Truth
A great relationship will always cost you something.
For me?
It cost my ego.
It cost my pride.
It cost the belief that love should feel good without requiring anything from me.
The truth is:
There’s no space for ego in a real, connected relationship.
There’s no room for arrogance or self-centeredness when you’re building something sacred.
If you want something deep, respectful, passionate, and lasting — you have to be willing to pay the price.
🧠 What People Get Wrong
They say they want intimacy…
but they don’t want to learn how to listen when their partner is hurting.
They say they want low conflict…
but they avoid hard conversations until they explode.
They say they want passion in the bedroom…
but don’t show love outside of it.
The truth?
Every real relationship requires:
Emotional maturity
Kind communication
Mutual respect during conflict
Showing up even when it’s inconvenient
🛠️ This Week’s Shift
Ask yourself:
“What has this relationship cost me — and have I paid the price willingly?”
This week:
Let go of “being right” — aim to understand
Ask your partner how they feel most loved, and actually do it
Take full accountability without explaining it away
Because love isn't free.
But it’s worth the cost — if you’re ready to pay it.
💬 Words to Carry With You
“Show me a great relationship — I’ll show you two people who take responsibility.”
